After 2 very successful EPs, iO's "ADSR" was the first full length album on Cheap Records. Released in 1994. It drew worldwide attention to the label after the tracks "Claire" and "¡Libre!" had been licensed to London's iconic MO WAX Records. While most of the tunes on the album follow the minimalistic drum and synth style of the earlier iO 12" EPs, those two particular tracks stood out.
Built around samples and classic drum programming, they also appealed to a wider audience. It's safe to say that this double 12" was a turning point in Cheap's history and encouraged us to proceed with an even wider approach on electronic music, troughout the 90ies.
